SMS Account Alerts and Enquires (on demand requests) allow you to keep track of your account balances and other account activity via an SMS text message to your mobile phone.

SMS Account Alerts

You can set up system where you receive an SMS text message alerting you to:

  • Direct credit received – lets you know when your pay or dividends are deposited into your account.
  • Direct debit paid – be alerted when one of your regular payments has been made.
  • Account balance threshold – set a high or low limit so that a message is sent whenever your account balances reaches that level.

High limit - a text message can advise if you go over your limit, giving the option to move your money to a higher interest earning EECU account.

Low limit – a text message will advise that your balance is below your set amount and you can arrange to make a deposit or transfer funds.
  • Scheduled account balance - find out your account balance at a set time and date as scheduled by you.

There is no cost to register for the SMS Account Alerts service, however EECU will charge a fee for each SMS sent using this service (not including SMS messages sent for security purposes).

Refer to our
Fees and charges brochure and our Everyday banking General Information and Terms and Conditions document for more information.
